The official name is the Boca Golf and Tennis Club - frequently referred to as the Boca Country Club community. However, as things stand and for the foreseeable future, this community's residents are not living the traditional South Florida country club lifestyle. For example, the golf course and lake surrounding the Boca Country Club homes (less than two percent of one thousand) is city-owned as a public course. So too are the clubhouse and all the amenities, including the restaurant facilities, meeting rooms, and swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts. As a result, anyone living in the Boca-Delray corridor and visitors from far afield can access the leisure and sports assets on a pay-as-you-go basis (i.e., it’s entirely open to the public.) A membership model exclusive to Boca Golf homeowners with equity entry and hefty monthly HOA fees (i.e., the norm for CCs like Addison Reserve and Polo Club) is not in the cards.

Home for sale in Boca Country Club range in size from 1300 square feet under air (UA) to 3000 in twelve distinctive villages with quaint names like Antigua Point, Balboa Point, Bermuda Village, St. Tropez, and Candlewood. The scenario described above isn’t a massive departure from the days before the Boca Raton Resort (the previous Boca Country Club facility owners) donated the course to the city in 2020. The neighborhood's position, across the road from Costco, a stone's throw from I 95, and central to everything Boca Raton offers, is fantastic. It provides a fast connection to two international and one local airport, hundreds of restaurants, several high-end shopping malls, healthcare hospitals and professionals, banking, and more.

The Boca Raton Resort, still a private club that homowners can join is conveniently located just around the corner.

The allocated schools are in an A-rated district, a tremendous plus for families with children (see below).

Residents who are golfers, pickleball, and tennis players have unparalleled convenience to the public sports and golfing options magically transformed as affordable options on their doorstep.

Moreover, getting to and back from Delray or Spanish River beaches takes only ten minutes.

On the downside

Unfortunately, many residences constructed in the 1980s and 90s lack modern hurricane protection windows and doors. Also, you won't find contemporary architecture (currently taking Boca by storm) in some luxury communities. But, then again, the price points in the latter are substantially higher. However, if interested, we know the ins and outs of these developments intimately. Some homeowners have renovated and upgraded but don't expect much. We suggest you do your due diligence before signing on the dotted line.

Boca Country Club HOA Fees

Homeowners enjoy a 24/7/365 guard gated community, common area maintenance, and spectacular lake and fairway vistas complemented by tropical foliage for the low HOA fee of around $350 payable monthly. In contrast, the CCs mentioned above require over $100,000 equity payment on buying (non-refundable) and about $5000 monthly for a package that's significantly different from this.

In other words, the opportunity to join a community of like-minded neighbors seeking peace and tranquility, with beautiful scenery on championship golf links as a stunning backdrop, is the most compelling attraction.
