Jupiter contains magnificent country clubs and spectacular resort-style communities. Indeed, the latter category is similar to the high-end country club lifestyle but without private golf, in-community restaurants, patrolling security, and valet services. Also, notably, without the traditionally high equity payments and extra annual fees, but still providing impressive resident-accessible five-star amenities (see below).

Lennar - a state-wide reputable construction entity - took a massive risk, initiating an ambitious development before the Great Recession of 2008 (which lasted for years) had faded. The company constructed 484 SF residences on hundreds of acres, featuring twelve inland lagoons and single family homes lining the banks on all sides. The stunning vistas of unobstructed water, tropical vegetation, and natural wildlife provided a unique rustic feel to a neighborhood in the heart of a mainstream city. 

The gamble paid off as homes for sale in Rialto (vintage 2011 - 2014) rode full steam ahead on the popular RSC wave sweeping across South Florida at the time - measuring 1,800 to over 4,100 square feet under air - and delivering three to five-bedroom accommodations (two and three-car garages).

Lennar aimed high, offering prospective first owners a selection of floor plans reflecting opulent Mediterranean and Mission architecture. As a result, barrel-style roof overhangs, Bahama shutters on stucco exteriors, arches everywhere, paver brick driveways, and quaint wrought iron balconies give the project that extra classy touch. However, it doesn’t end there. The 24/7 guard-house gated neighborhood was one of the first to distance itself from pre-2006 communities, taking advantage of a renaissance in building material quality. Standard interior packages included:

  • High-impact windows and sliders (cutting down on home insurance costs considerably).
  • A fantastic selection of imported granite, marble, and woods for flooring, custom cabinetry, islands, and countertops.
  • Gourmet stainless steel premium fitted brand appliances configured into gourmet kitchens.
  • Open-plan living rooms, volume coffered ceilings, and attractive crown molding created eye-popping aesthetics alongside spa-like bathrooms, floating vanities, and designer lighting.

So let’s get to valuations. We looked at prices over 2022/3, keeping in mind these are dynamic and change over time. Therefore, please keep checking our pages for updates. That said, prices started at just under $1 million, breaking the $2 million barrier. Unsurprisingly, the home vintage (i.e., up to four years differential), campus positioning, and owner-installed upgrades created a significant gap between $392 and $560 a square foot. Indeed, a $168 variance doesn’t look like much but multiply it by the 3000 square feet (UA) average house dimensions, and the same model can sell at $1,176,000 to one buyer and $1,680,000 to another. 

If you think Rialto residents are stuck in the rural-feel community with nowhere to go, it’s far from the case. Every address in the neighborhood is minutes away from great beaches, boat docking, “wall to wall” golf courses, kayaking, restaurants, bars, delis, high-end shopping, ATMs, and more, thanks to a well-developed commercial center. In addition, a short drive gets Rialto homeowners to excellent schools (see below), an international airport, West Palm Beach Downtown with vibrant action, and a choice of top-rated clinics.

Plentiful RSC options exist. The question is, where can home seekers find the equivalent luxury level for the same money or less? Indeed, one of the most exciting options converges on contemporary homes built after 2014 in the western section of Boca Raton and Delray Beach, with newer and more elaborate amenities: 

On another level - older vintages, with monthly HOA fees around $600 - look at Parkland and Wellington, where you can close on RSC luxury for $500,000 to $1.5 million (e.g. Heron Bay, Parkland Isles, Versailles, and Talavera).
